From Coast to Country

We are a family run business whose inspiration for Henrys Coastal and Country Clothing sprung from our passion for the countryside, the coast and our Golden Retriever Henry!

After Neil retired from a career as a Professional Golfer, we moved from the Dorset coast to a small village on the outskirts of Moreton In Marsh in the Cotswolds. From there our love of village pubs, Sunday walks and all things ‘country’ began. Rather than children coming along, we got a child of sorts in Henry, our gorgeous Golden Retriever.

In 2015 a new venture beckoned and when 1 Oxford street, Moreton In Marsh became available we had to grab it and our journey of designing and setting up our first country clothing shop began. Moreton is a beautiful quintessential Cotswolds market town and we thought it perfect for our quality clothing shop. We envisaged a shop where people could share our love of land and sea, browse and buy beautiful country and coastal, where quality and craft matter.

Over the next 3 years the business grew, as did our stunning range of brands and we are now proud stockists of quality ranges from Dubarry, Fairfax and Favour, Sebago, Musto, RM Williams, Schoffel, Hicks and Brown and Le Chameau amongst many others.

As the business started to grow so did our desire to return closer to the sea. This provided a great opportunity to add the ‘Coastal’ part to our ‘Coast to Country’ Henry’s. We had holidayed in Falmouth a number of times over the years and were slowly falling for the idea of being able to relocate there. When a stunning and historic shop in Arwenack street became available, we decided it was fate. We didn’t hesitate and our new project was about to begin.

We opened our new store in Falmouth in June 2018 and, touch wood, it has been a real success and well received by the locals and visitors alike. We are very much a ‘Coast to Country’ business now and most importantly Henry is enjoying his coastal walks and sea swims again!
